Did You Know?
Plants and animals hold medicinal, agricultural, ecological, commercial, aesthetic and recreational value and thus, their loss significantly curtails options for future discovery and advancement in these areas. Our health and well-being and that of generations to come are incumbent on saving endangered species and protecting our environment. As we lose more and more species, we become significantly more vulnerable to natural disasters and will incur greater consequences from global warming. Given the urgency of the current state of our planet, the goal of this project is to deepen the students’ understanding of the importance of their roles as stewards of this planet and to ensure that each understands the difference s/he can make in protecting and conserving our natural resources for future generations. |
